Stop the machine. This will prevent overheating or burning out the motor as well as any further damage to the document.Look carefully at the machine. The most common issue is the item is too thick for the laminator to pass through the rollers. The vast majoring of laminating machings only accept paper or very thin card. The maximim thickness of card that is acceptable will be on the manufacturers intructions on the individual machine that you own. Never go above this, in fact for long life and low maintenance it is alays a safe bet to stay slightly below the recommended maximim thickness. If the item is stuck between the rollers, turn the machine back on and put the rollers into reverse, whilst also pulling gently on the item to remove it from the machine. If the item is paper or very thin card.
