A true core muscle workout can be obtained when you know how to engage in movements and exercises that will be challenging with your own body resistance. You don’t have to have the availability of a fully stocked weight room to get a good workout. A gym is nice, but it is not necessary even if you are very serious about getting results and improving your athletic performance Your big core muscle groups are best developed when you engage in movements that require you to involve more than one joint in the motion. For instance, if you are looking to develop a strong upper body you are much better off doing push ups than engaging in an exercise that only targets a specific muscle at one time such as a bicep curl. One body weight and great core strengthening exercise to help you to do this are walk out push ups. This particular exercise is executed by you standing with your feet a shoulder width distance apart in length. From here you are going to crouch down to place your hands on the ground in front of you. As soon as you crouch to do this then simply walk out on your hands to extend your body into an upright push up position. Once extended execute a normal push up and then walk back to the crouched position and stand back up.This entire movement of crouching down, walking out on your hands, doing the push up, and walking back all constitutes a single repetition. Once you attempt 10 to 15 of these in a row I promise that you will have a whole new respect for body weight exercises in terms of your core development. This is a core muscle strengthening workout at it’s best my friend.
